I, m0nkrus, removed all Speech to Text packages from the Premiere Pro 2026 (v26.2) distribution and combined them into a standalone build.
The assembly provides the ability to choose to install individual Speech to Text packages that you specifically need.
The assembly is based on the standalone Adobe installer version 6.8.0.821, which is not available to the general public.
The Adobe Desktop Common module, which was required to be installed by the original installer, has been removed from the installer except for the bare minimum.
The Adobe Creative Cloud module, which was required to be installed by the original installer, has been completely removed from the installer.
Added the ability to use this assembly not only with Premiere Pro 2026 , but also with Media Encoder 2026 .

Answer: This happens occasionally on poorly configured operating systems. There’s a TAB key on your keyboard. Use it to navigate to the desired menu item.

the error code breakdown . I also recommend reviewing the installation log. It’s located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Installers\Install.log. You may find more detailed information about the problem and how to resolve it there.

Question: What does the language selection in the installation options affect?
Answer: Premiere Pro is installed multilingual by default, meaning it includes more than just the language pack you’re currently using. The language you choose when installing Speech to Text will affect the interface language of Premiere Pro after the installation. So, if you don’t want the interface language of your existing Premiere Pro to change after installing Speech to Text, select your preferred language from the list.

Question: from the Premiere Pro 2026 distribution? Why was it necessary to exclude the Speech to Text modules
Answer: They’re quite large. 800 MB each! Plus, they’re all installed in bulk. Do you really need them all?! Do you really need a Premiere Pro distribution that weighs over 15 GB when you’ll never use most of that considerable weight? I don’t think it’s worth it. That’s why I’ve moved the Speech to Text modules into a separate build and significantly improved their installation modules so they can be installed individually, according to your preferences, rather than all at once.

Question: How did you make this build compatible with Media Encoder 2026 ?
Answer: Starting with version 2026 , Media Encoder, following Premiere Pro, learned to create subtitles. But Adobe wouldn’t be Adobe if they didn’t screw up something very basic… The Speech to Text packages for Premiere Pro and Media Encoder are absolutely identical. But for some reason, these two programs look for them in different folders! This means that if you want to use Speech to Text technology in both programs, the original Creative Cloud Desktop installer will place two identical copies of the packages on your computer-one for each program. It’s completely unclear why they couldn’t force both programs to look for Speech to Text in a shared folder, as is done, for example, with the Camera Raw package. Correcting this oversight wasn’t particularly difficult. I simply created a symbolic link redirecting from the Media Encoder path to the actual path for the Premiere Pro packages.
