Jack Reilly’s luck ran out just before the war did. Resigning his commission in the Alliance shortly after the end of the war with the Serkins, he went out into the galaxy looking for a job. A Great Old-Fashioned Space Opera – This is a great story for anyone who loves the Science Fiction of the John W. Campbell era. It has the flavor of stories written by Andre Norton, Eric Frank Russell, and others of that time.
Full of action – I very much enjoyed this story and am looking forward to the next book in the series. Lt. Reilly and his companions find themselves in so many no-win situations that they consistently find a way out. The action is continuous, and the story keeps you engaged.
A Hard-Boiled Sci-fi Book – This was a great story with a main character you could get behind. I look forward to the next book in the series to see what happens
