Waymaker can be used in two different modes
✓ MIDI mode: Build a custom chain of modules to generate melodies, transpose progressions, create ever-changing sequences, and so much more.

Waymaker offers 11 sequencers and sequencing utilities

In MIDI mode, each sequencer can be used to generate new MIDI notes, transpose the pitch of incoming MIDI notes, or trigger new sequences based on incoming notes. Waymaker can be used as a standalone MIDI sequencer or as a MIDI effect for modifying the output of your favorite sequencers.

In AAS mode, Waymaker can use any of the sequencers to change the pitch of each channel in products like Weeping Wall or Ridgewalk independently. In addition, Waymaker can provide additional control to these products-such as pitch glide and independent reversal of loopers-that is not available normally. Together, you can craft a totally custom audio effect, whether you want a unique looper, granulator, delay, or reverb.

Waymaker has full preset control and can manage presets for other Aqeel Aadam Sound devices in AAS mode.

While de-essers and dynamic EQs can be very useful, they are rarely sufficient for effectively managing sibilance in vocal recordings.

Producers and engineers alike commonly find themselves spending long hours manually editing these problematic sounds. While often unavoidable, this method is very time-consuming and diverts attention from what really matters.

splitS is not a de-esser, but rather a straightforward mixer that allows you to balance sibilances, and separate a vocal track between sibilance and non-sibilance in a split of a second. The signal is left absolutely intact if no volume change is applied, as the cut between sibilance and non-sibilance is made on the full range signal.

No compression, no EQ, no crossover.

Since v1.1, the S-Range feature can detect the peak level of each S event, letting you set a maximum volume – or exclude soft events from the S channel.

splitS was developed in close collaboration with Swiss mixer Thomas "Mister T." Gloor.

The APU Loudness Limiter is a real-time limiter designed to support multiple loudness types simultaneously. The limiter can be configured to use LUFS, True Peak, RMS, and/or Peak loudness types. This allows you to target multiple requirements simultaneously, such as a specific LUFS target and a specific True Peak target. Internally, the ballistics of the limiter are adjusted to accommodate the different loudness type limiter settings.

Loudness flavors
One of the key features of this limiter is its support for a variety of loudness types. The limiter’s detection circuitry can be configured to use either LUFS and/or traditional measurement units (RMS, Peak). You can also choose to split or link channels, which is particularly useful for multi-channel audio formats such as Dolby Atmos®.

The limiter’s detection circuitry can be configured to use any of the following loudness types

Momentary
Momentary is a short duration LUFS measurement (400ms), which is useful for processing the audio’s moment-by-moment dynamics. This mode is responsive but also transparent. K-weighting and channel weighting are applied to the compressor’s detection circuitry, improving perceptual accuracy.

Short-Term
Short-Term is a longer duration LUFS measurement (3 seconds), which is useful for processing the audio’s large scale dynamics. Given the longer duration, this mode is less responsive than momentary, but it can be useful for adjusting the bigger picture of the audio’s dynamics. K-weighting and channel weighting are applied as with momentary.

Integrated
Integrated is an infinite duration LUFS measurement. K-weighting and channel weighting are applied as with momentary, as well as both relative and absolute gating. This loudness type can be useful for continuously wrangling the audio’s integrated loudness toward a specific target.

RMS
RMS loudness types use a rolling time interval of 150ms by default, which can be adjusted. RMS is a traditional loudness measurement, which is a good first-order approximation of perceived loudness. This mode doesn’t apply K-weighting or channel weighting to the limiter’s detection circuitry, giving it a more traditional character.

True Peak
True Peak loudness types are similar to traditional peak measurements, but they are more accurate as they take into consideration inter-sample peaks. These measurements use a time interval equal to the configured block size (1ms by default). This mode prevents clipping inter-sample peaks, which can be useful for mastering.

Peak
Peak loudness types are a standard peak circuit, operating on a time interval equal to the configured block size (1ms by default). This is another traditional limiter style measurement. Technically, this mode is even slightly more responsive than True Peak, but it is less accurate as it doesn’t take into consideration inter-sample peaks.

The APU Loudness Compressor is a compressor/expander designed to support modern loudness types (LUFS, True Peak). This means the compression curve is a function of LUFS measurements instead of RMS or Peak. Since LUFS is a more accurate measure of loudness, the result is very transparent compression, making it particularly well suited for mastering and post-production workflows.

By default, the compressor operates using a "source range" and "target range" in place of threshold + ratio controls. You can also enable the traditional threshold + ratio controls if you prefer. A drop-down menu located at the top-right of the compressor’s dynamics section allows switching between these modes of operation and others, such as expander, limiter, etc.

With "learn" mode enabled, the compressor will automatically adjust the source or target range to match the source material. This can be a great way to get started with the compressor and can be used as a starting point for further fine-tuning.
