Description : The only survival simulator during the Fourth Age of Middle-earth. In The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria™, the Dwarves embark on a new adventure to reclaim the legendary Moria hidden beneath the Misty Mountains. Players will have to join forces to survive, craft equipment, build and explore the famous bottomless mines. Brave travelers need to be vigilant, because mysterious dangers will await them in the dark depths.
The game is an analogue of Valheim/Minecraft but in the setting of the cursed dungeon of Moria. It all starts as usual – the hero has fallen somewhere where all the other gnomes did not have time to fall. In general, it’s worth saying that the game is obviously designed for multiplayer, even the story campaign is supposed to be played through a crowd of dwarves. In the version from the distribution, only offline play is available and probably a large share of the fun is lost. Gameplay: collect everything that can be broken off with a pickaxe and gradually you will have a bunch of materials, so that when you get to the abandoned gnome post, you will have enough resources not only to repair the hearth, but also to build a bed for rest. The gnome becomes unwell without fire, so you must always have a supply of torches with you, which you will also learn how to make almost immediately. A pickaxe is needed not only to break literally everything that is not a dungeon wall, but also to break through passages in littered corridors to advance the plot. Having reached the destroyed post, I restored the hearth, then creatures similar to hyenas came and the gnome, who for some reason had some kind of structure in his hands at the time the enemies appeared, quickly died. If you press "rise" after this, you will wake up in the same place where you started the game, but besides this, you can run to your corpse and get what you’ve acquired from it, if, of course, you are able to defeat the hyenas.

Players will lead a band of Dwarves who, under the orders of Lord Gimli, Keeper of the Lock, must travel to the Misty Mountains and recover lost spoils from the Dwarven homeland of Moria, known as Khazad-Dum or Dwarrowdelf. In search of treasure, they will have to show perseverance and dive into the depths of ancient mines.
In procedurally generated Moria, no two adventures are the same. Each expedition can be completed either alone or online with partners. Players can mine for fossils and craft better equipment and resources, but the noise of mining threatens to awaken the dangers that lurk in the silent abyss. Uncover the secrets of three legendary mountains, mine precious metals, try to survive and fight untold forces to discover the secret of the Shadow hidden within.

Become part of the Brotherhood. Feel yourself part of the Brotherhood of the Dwarves: the rich history of the legendary fantasy world of J. R. R. Tolkien is woven into the fabric of The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria.
Survive in the dark. To survive in the treacherous mines of Moria, players must conserve resources, hunt and forage, and monitor sleep patterns, temperature, and noise levels. Fight unspeakable evil, engage in brutal battles with hordes of monstrous orcs and uncover the secret of the Shadow hidden in the mountains.
Build a base. Find shelter in the dark. Discover and clear new spaces for grandiose construction. Get creative and build a base from scratch or customize existing assets. Beware of the evil that seeks to destroy all the fruits of the dwarves’ labor.
Rebuild Moria and change its appearance. Restore the long-vanished ancient kingdom of Khazad-dum to its former glory and discover Dwarven historical sites as the story progresses. Resurrect old mines and restart forges to extract untapped resources.
Explore. Dive into the depths of the mines of Moria. In the procedurally generated environment, players will find a variety of resources, mysteries and dangers and will be able to get a unique gaming experience every time.
Cooperative game. Play through the game alone or team up with friends in online co-op.
Craft dwarven tools, weapons and more. Craft and find legendary dwarf armor, tools, weapons and buildings. Upgrade ancient forges to strengthen, repair, and enchant equipment. Discover and improve new technologies and fantastic cars.
Find magical artifacts. Look for ancient magical items: swords that glow when orcs approach, maps of long-forgotten mithril veins, books of lost drawings, and amulets that bestow strength or wisdom.
Mine ore and gems. Build mines in search of deposits of precious resources – iron, gold and quartz, as well as unique materials such as mithril. Access workbenches and forges to turn ore into ingots and upgrade your equipment. But do not forget that noisy mining operations can awaken the inhabitants of the abyss.
Comprehensive gnome designer. To become part of the Dwarven Legend, players will be able to create their own Dwarf in the Character Builder. The gnome’s appearance can be customized in detail to create a unique gnome personality. Throughout the game, players will be able to find and craft armor and weapons to highlight their dwarf’s unique style.
