Windows 11, version 24H2, also known as the Windows 11 2024 Update, is now available through Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) and Windows Update for Business.

Today marks the start of 36 months of support for Enterprise and Education editions of Windows 11, version 24H2. With Windows 11, version 24H2, we’ve also introduced numerous Server Message Block (SMB) protocol changes. These include firewall rule changes, support for blocking NTLM, dialect management, alternative network port connections, SMB over QUIC (an alternative to TCP and RDMA), and changes to SMB signing and encryption.

Windows 11 (v23H2) RUS-ENG -28in1- HWID-act (AIO) assembly and combines Ru and En editions of Windows 11 that support HWID activation. There are fewer editions in the assembly. I decided to throw out options that were of little demand from it, since this assembly turned out to be too complicated and time-consuming in production. Thanks to a number of original solutions, it was possible to obtain a product that unites twenty editions of Windows 11 within a single distribution, the volume of which is in any case less than the totality of the eight original distributions on the basis of which it was created. The restrictions on installing Windows 11 on "weak" machines were partially lifted by me. At the same time, according to tradition, the functionality of operating systems installed from the assembly is not cut down one bit!

The assembly includes 10 Ru and 10 En editions of Windows 11 for the 64-bit (x64) kernel:

Some assembly features

  • The build is based on the distributions of Windows 11 Version 24H2 (Updated November 2024), posted on MSDN on November 19, 2024. Except those marked IoT and LTSC. They were released on October 1, 2024 and updated to the level of other editions by integrating updates KB5046617 and KB5045934 into them.
  • Restrictions on installing Windows 11 on computers without UEFI support and secure boot, without TPM 2.0 support, and with less than 4 GB of RAM have been lifted. SSE4.2 and POPCNT request bypass is not implemented!
  • Added the ability to install Windows 11 Pro, Home and their derivatives with a local account.
  • The assembly includes the W10 Digital Activation Program + KMS38 activator version 1.5.4 from Ratiborus. The activator executable file will be available on the Desktop.
  • The Microsoft Diagnostics and Recovery Toolset (MSDaRT) 10 module is integrated into the system recovery service, both launched from the installation media and built into the system itself, which significantly expands the capabilities for resuscitating the system.
  • The following folders were removed from the installation media: _manifest, asz, ca-es, eu-es, gl-es, id-id, vi-vn. They are essentially unnecessary garbage.
  • On a system installed in BIOS Legacy mode, the functionality of the boot menu by pressing the F8 key has been restored. The F8 boot menu is displayed in text mode.
  • In the boot menu using F8, the "Load last known good configuration" item has been restored.
  • The system is installed immediately with Ru and En language packs. The choice of language during installation only affects which language will be the main one. So, after installation is complete, you can easily change the interface language using standard OS tools (except for the Home Single Language edition).
  • A script has been added to the Home Single Language edition that allows you to switch the interface language from Ru to En and back without losing your license.
  • The "from BIOS" installer has been brought to the old familiar format, thereby eliminating the glitches of the original Microsoft creation.
  • A feature of the Windows 11 installer has been fixed, due to which in the multilingual assembly, when starting the installation from an existing system, there was no choice of the installer interface language. In this assembly, the interface language is determined automatically based on the language of the running OS.
  • There are some restrictions on transferring applications from the old system to the new one when installing an update. Read more in the FAQ.
  • Small improvements have been made to the installer interface, correcting flaws of Microsoft programmers.

Performance gains?
– No UAC. Every time you perform an administrative task on a standard account,
UAC requires you to confirm the action. This adds a tiny bit of overhead. The built-in Administrator account bypasses this entirely.
That also comes with an inherit risk and you must ALWAYS be more vigilant with what you download
With great power comes great responsibility!!
– Elevated Privileges
This account inherently runs with the highest privileges, potentially reducing the need for certain privilege checks and operations that the system performs in the background.
– Driver and Software Compatibility
In some rare cases, certain drivers or older software might have compatibility issues with UAC or standard user accounts. Running them under the built-in Administrator account might resolve these issues, leading to smoother performance.
– The above of course varies from system to system, based mainly on the CPU architecture.
Some CPUs, Mainly AMD, will benefit due to the Cache architecture and size compared to Intel CPUs and so there is no clear indication of how much performance gain there is, but for sure is not making it worse.
– Now the boring part
There have been documented cases, particularly with AMD CPUs and Windows, where kernel address space layout randomization (KASLR) and related security mitigations have led to performance impacts, especially concerning cache performance.
– When some mitigations that use KASLR like Spectre or Meltdown are active we have
Increased Cache Misses
KASLR can lead to increased cache misses,
Kernel Relocation Overhead
The process of relocating the kernel in memory adds a small amount of overhead, which can also contribute to performance loss.
– The normal Admin accounts operate under KASLR but the built-in Local Administrator doesn’t.
That makes certain CPUs and architectures run a bit faster and Snapier but only under certain conditions
If the application uses the CPU and RAM intensively the CPU architecture and how it uses Cache and Cache tables.

  • Long story short, Some systems may see some noticeable increase in performance some others not so much, but so far I haven’t seen anything going slower.
  • However, if you are afraid of getting exploited by Spectre or Meltdown (highly unlikely) etc

You can add a Normal admin or even better a normal user account and "experiment" using that.
– Also, that is why we let Defender on, so it will protect the system better.
Use that or any antivirus of your liking.
