EZkeys Mellotoon is based on the Mellotron* keyboard introduced in the early 1960s. This unique instrument was the first of its kind to include samples of real instruments, but as opposed to the modern-day digital sampler, the Mellotron pulled them off a magnetic tape loop that ran inside the keyboard. It came with various sounds for piano, strings, flutes, brass and is likely best described as the first-ever "band in a box." Naturally, it was a revelation from the get-go. Early adopters included The Beatles, the Moody Blues and King Crimson, who all immortalized the unmistakable tone of the Mellotron in numerous hits. Today, this piece of instrument history is enjoying a massive resurgence in a wide range of genres.

BUG FIXES
Effects

• Exporting audio in DAWs could cause a crash in version 3.2.1 if certain effects were used by the presets, for example Matching EQ and IR Reverb.
• A couple of effects did not work correctly at sample rate 192 kHz, some also at other non-44.1 kHz sample rates. For example, Tape Simulator was too fast and some reverbs too loud.
• The gain reduction reported for presets with Comp 76 was often too low in magnitude.

Effect Controls

BUG FIXES
General

• On Mac, opening the plug-in window in certain hosts could cause a crash if the window size had previously been set very, very large.
• In Pro Tools, trying to switch to a larger GUI scale could in some cases cause a crash.

Effects

• The Bias parameter in the "Valve Distortion Box" effect was not correctly applied when a preset/project with that effect was loaded.
• In some of the compressors, Attack and Release parameters were not correctly applied when a preset/project was loaded at sample rates other than 44.1 kHz.
• Toggle buttons that turn certain effects on/off in presets should no longer sometimes cause loud audio bumps.
