Multilayer Analog Synthesizer. Syn’X is a Polytimbral Synthesizer inspired by the synthesis part of a legendary Italian Synthesizer from the 80’s, while its multi-layer card-based architecture is inspired by sophisticated hardware analog monsters like the Oberheim Matrix 12.

It offers the striking combination of clear and punchy DCOs with cutting multimode modeled analog filters like its ancestor, one of the last Vintage Polyphonic Analog Synthesizers, and a piece of Synthesis history, including the famous BBD Chorus!

Interesting Facts
Syn’X is multitimbral, you can use up to 16 oscillators, 8 0df Analog Filters, 32 DADSR envelopes and Modulation Matrixes addressing any of the 132 possible destinations to build your own patches, when the 300 Factory Library Presets are not enough.

The Easy Mode enables you to benefit from a powerful, yet intuitive and streamlined programming environment similar to the miniSyn’X duotimbral synthesizer, but with the additional power of additional envelopes, LFOs, etc.

Unique features, unique sound: A few factors were integral in creating the iconic sound of the PolyM’s glorious ancestor: Two T.O.D Oscillators (Top Octave dividers), with PER NOTE Pulse Width Modulation, initially used to get a big polyphony (at this time), a gritty Moog designed 24dB Ladder Filter, an acoustic Filter Bank and, finally, a character rich Resonator Bank.

71 chips.: To take up the emulation gauntlet, more than two years were necessary to closely, patiently, model these 71 components to finally come up with the best and most versatile Divided-down synthesizer ever made.

And beyond: We were able to expose parameters that were not accessible on the original instrument, allowing you to dive into the machinery and mod it without a screwdriver, a soldering iron and electronic components. We also added a more traditional analog VCA ADSR, a plethora of LFOs to modulate almost everything, and a trio of vintage sounding effects among others things.

Using divide-down technology offers a particular sound for Chords, Strings and Pads you won’t find in any other synthesizer.

More: With this unit, feeding a monophonic zero-delay 24dB self-oscillating filter, retriggered by keyboard strokes, gives you the possibility of playing huge sounds in a way that no other synthesizer can (PolyPedal behaviour emulated). RawPrime is a physically modeled hybrid synthesizer, built using specific digital and analogue electronic components derived from the 1970s-1980s telecommunications industry.

Meant to be a real-world replicable device and manufactured using vintage electronics, RawPrime features a very original synthesis approach : at first it generates huge amounts of aliasing signals on purpose, then it uses that aliasing signals as its sole sound source.

An expressive analogue filter, a set of modulators accessible from a matrix interface, two multi-effect slots and a creative polyphonic arpeggiator just complete the picture : RawPrime aims to be one of the all-time favourite vintage synthesizers, from a past that never was.

LittleOne is a faithful software emulation of one of the most legendary and appreciated hardware analog synthesizers, compact in design but also extremely powerful and expressive.

WAVETABLE OSCILLATOR

There is filtering, FM, PD, ring mod, distortions and new wavetable warps. Even we have yet to fully explore the outer reaches of what can be achieved by the dual warps available for any of the main oscillator types.
MULTISAMPLE OSCILLATOR
Enables replication of real instruments and sounds found elsewhere. Serum 2 ships with a massive, exclusive, and original library of real instruments recorded around the world, including orchestra, choir, pianos, guitars, and much more. Create or import your own from multisample recordings using the (open standard and human-readable) sfz file format.
SAMPLE OSCILLATOR
Despite the simple premise of playing back a sample, the Sample oscillator packs a punch. Despite being really good for sample playback and offering FM/PD/Distortion types, the sample oscillator also offers looping with snap loop detection, flexible loop modulation, a Rate control for ‘tape stop’ effects and similar, sample slicing with realtime score extraction / playback and tails mode, and more.
GRANULAR OSCILLATOR
