Description:

This book explores cryptographic techniques by integrating Elliptic and Jacobian Elliptic Curve Cryptography with Ancient Indian Mathematics, optimizing security and computational efficiency. As digital security becomes vital, the rich mathematical heritage of ancient India offers profound insights into cryptography, bridging historical wisdom with cutting-edge security solutions.
Key frameworks- algebra, analysis, and optimization- enhance point operations like addition and doubling in cryptographic protocols. The book explores trilinear pairing and cryptographic schemes over specialized rings, leveraging projective geometry and algebraic structures to enhance encryption and decryption methods. Covering foundational concepts, algorithms, and applications, the book highlights how ancient Indian insights can improve Elliptic Curve Cryptography, Jacobian Elliptic Curve Cryptography, and trilinear pairing.
Applications span secure vehicular communication using fog computing, blockchain-based authentication, and cloud security. It is targeted at cryptographers, mathematicians, and computer scientists and provides algorithmic innovations, security proofs, structured exercises, and real-world case studies.

Description:

As polyamory continues to make its way into the mainstream, more and more people are exploring consensual nonmonogamy in the hope of experiencing more love, connection, sex, freedom and support. While for many, the move expands personal horizons, for others, the transition can be challenging, leaving them blindsided and overwhelmed. Beyond the initial transition to nonmonogamy, many struggle with the root issues beneath the symptoms of broken agreements, communication challenges, increased fighting and persistent jealousy.

Polyamorous therapist Jessica Fern and restorative justice facilitator David Cooley share the insights they have gained through thousands of hours working with clients in consensually nonmonogamous relationships. Using a grounded theory approach, they explore the underlying challenges that nonmonogamous individuals and partners can experience after their first steps, offering practical strategies for transforming them into opportunities for new levels of clarity and intimacy.

Polywise provides both the conceptual framework to better understand the shift from monogamy to nonmonogamy and the tools to navigate the next steps, allowing you to not just survive in open relationships, but thrive in them.

Description:

In the spirit of James Agee and W. G. Sebald, a profound work of literary art wedded to photographs.
As a journalist suddenly skeptical of the power of words to tell the deepest truths of other people’s stories, Jeff Sharlet turned to taking snapshots and posting them on Instagram-images that he then reflected on in words of extraordinary intimacy and power. A visionary work of radical empathy, this collection of images and reflections is framed by the two years between his father’s heart attack and his own, a time defined by insomnia and late-night driving and the companionship of other darkness-dwellers: night bakers and last-call drinkers, frightened people and frightening people, the homeless and the lost (or merely disoriented), addicts and people on the margins.
A book that erases all boundaries between author and subject and reader, between the "safe" and the afflicted, This Brilliant Darkness is a riveting, light-bearing inquiry into…

Description:

1299 AD. In the shadow of Canterbury Cathedral’s spires, a fateful encounter brings together Edward, teenage heir to the English throne, and a darkly handsome soldier from Gascony, Piers Gaveston. Youthful infatuation gives way to a bond more powerful than any attempt at keeping them apart. Edward and Piers enter a pact of sworn brotherhood. A decade later, Edward’s spirited new queen, Isabella of France, quickly becomes smitten as much with her royal consort as with his dashing lover. But the power-hungry Earls resent Gaveston’s monopoly of royal favour and his defiant self-assurance. Political intrigue mounts and the Earl of Lancaster has Gaveston murdered, leaving Edward devastated and thirsting for revenge. This debut novel, an alternate historical epic with its foundation in the story of England’s most infamous homosexual prince, will captivate readers.

About the Author
Aleardo Zanghellini is a Professor of Law and Social Theory at the University of Reading. He grew up in Italy, spent eleven years in Vancouver, Oxford and Sydney, including an 18-month stint on an island on the edge of national parkland (complete with resident pythons). Shortly before returning to Europe–with two Masters and a PhD as well as five years of academic work experience–he taught on an academic programme on-board a world cruising ship. He now calls the Berkshire countryside home and lives with his partner in a converted mill, which from the outside looks rather like a Victorian asylum for the insane.

Description:

A groundbreaking book that addresses the science that underpins organic agriculture and horticulture and its impact upon the management of organic systems
With contributions from noted experts in the field, Organic Agriculture explores the cultural context of food production and examines the historical aspects, economic implications, and key scientific elements that underpin organic crop production. The book shows how a science-based approach to organic farming is grounded in history and elements of the social sciences as well as the more traditional areas of physics, chemistry and biology.
Organic Agriculture offers a detailed explanation of the differences between organic systems and other approaches, answering questions about crop production and protection, crop rotations, soil health, biodiversity and the use of genetic resources. The authors identify current gaps in our understanding of the topic and discuss how organic farming research may be better accomplished in the future. This important book:

  • Explores the science that underpins organic farming
  • Contains illustrative case studies from around the world
  • Examines organic agriculture’s philosophical roots and its socio-economic context
Written for scientists and students of agriculture and horticulture, this book covers the issues linked to the use of science by organic producers and identifies key elements in the production of food.
