The course begins by building a strong foundation in FEA concepts and the ABAQUS environment. You will learn how ABAQUS works, how analysis models are structured, and how different components such as parts, materials, steps, interactions, loads, and meshes come together to form a complete simulation workflow. The interface and modeling approach are explained in a simple, logical manner so you can follow along even if you are new to simulation software.
As you progress, you will work with continuum and shell elements, understand element formulation, and learn how to select the right element type for different engineering problems. Special focus is given to mesh convergence and mesh quality, which are critical for producing reliable simulation results.
